1. The library - old cook books. *careful they may be dusty*. You can tweak recipes and make them your own.
2. Local Church- networking with fellow members to swap family recipes and maybe learn a few secrets.
3. Local newspaper- besides reporting news, stocks and sports...you can find one or two recipes throughout the paper.
4. Back or side of food packages- companies are printing recipes right on the box or they provide a link to prepare meals. Most of them will have a site dedicated to preparing family meals, snacks and desserts.
5. Mom's treasured recipe box- these recipes she'll take to the grave, but I'm sure with a mom & daughter night out...that box is good as yours. Or you could just ask.
6. Deli and meat counters- sometimes the grocery store may have recipe cards or booklets highlighting in-store products. This tip is more a win-win as some cards come with coupons.
7. School or work message board- this may be the most unlikely one. But I have known co-workers and fellow classmates post ideas to boards in the cafeteria or designated message boards.
8. Food related forums- here you can get the dish on hundreds of recipes; failed or successful. Maybe you can share your own.
9. Lastly, your local grocery store- more than likely your grocery store has a website and features how to videos and hundreds of recipes....well may not hundreds, but you get the idea. Below are links to grocery websites which may be helpful in creating tonight's meal.
